- 1 table spoon baking powder
- 4 egg whites

- 4 egg yolks + 1 whole egg

- 1 1/4 cup butter milk

- Oil & insert Parchment paper on 2 8" pans. Pre heat oven to 170°C.

- Crush several Oreo cookies to fill 1 cup. Don't make the pieces very fine.

- Whip the egg whites till they form soft peaks.

- Mix all the dry ingredients together & sift twice.

- Beat the egg yolks & full eggs together for 3-5 minutes with a mixer or 5-8 minutes if whisking manually. The result is a creamy golden color mixture.

- Gradually add in your sugar in 2/3 portions. Add in your oil & mix again ensuring all ingredients are well incorporated.



- Add the dry ingredients in the wet mixture bowl gradually in 2 portions, alternating with butter milk (check out my recipes on how to make buttermilk). Begin with flour and end with buttermilk.

- Fold in the crushed Oreos until just combined. Fold in gently the egg whites with a spatula in 2 portions in the very end.


- Divide the batter evenly into the prepared tins. Bake at 170°C for 35-50minutes or until a toothpick/skewer comes out clean with no streaks of butter when inserted in the centre of the cake.


- Let your cake cool on a rack & enjoy it.
